The Andorra MoraBanc Clàssica will allow fans to ‘compete’ with professionals
The event continues to innovate, introducing a hill climb at Coll de la Botella where amateurs can ride the final 10 kilometers of the official race course
Andorra, May 6, 2026
The Andorra MoraBanc Clàssica continues to innovate and expand its sporting offerings with the launch of a new public initiative: “The Clàssica Time Trial x Toteemi,” a mountain time trial that will allow fans to experience the thrill of the race from the inside and ‘compete’ with professionals by comparing their times on the same route.
The new event will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, offering participants the chance to ride the final 10 official kilometers of the Clàssica, from Erts to Coll de la Botella, in the heart of the Pyrenees.
With a route of 10 km and over 700 meters of positive elevation gain, the hill climb presents a demanding and attractive challenge, with average gradients between 5% and 8% and ramps reaching 12%, set in a natural environment of great scenic value.
A professional experience
“The Clàssica Time Trial x Toteemi” is designed so every participant can feel like part of the race:
-
Individual starts in a time-trial format
-
Timing via a chip activated on the course
-
Finish line at the same arrival arch as the professionals
-
Official finish line photography
Cyclists can choose their start time within a specific window, completing the route at their own pace but with the excitement of competing on a top-tier stage.
A challenge with history
The challenge is not just completing the route, but also measuring oneself against the elite level. The reference time is set by the winner of the 2025 edition of the Clàssica, Mattias Skjelmose (Lidl-Trek), who recorded a time of 26 minutes and 38 seconds.
Limited spots and premium services
The organization has limited participation to 200 cyclists to guarantee a high-quality experience.
The registration includes:
-
Bib number and timing chip
-
Welcome pack
-
Cloakroom service (drop-off at the start and collection at the finish)
-
Refreshments and a meal at the finish line
-
Free photo downloads
-
Additionally, prizes will be awarded for the best times and special recognitions, including the official Andorra MoraBanc Clàssica jersey.
A commitment to bringing cycling closer to the public
This new initiative, developed jointly with Toteemi, reinforces the mission of the Andorra MoraBanc Clàssica to bring high-level cycling closer to fans by offering a participatory experience in a real competition environment.
The hill climb thus establishes itself as an innovative format within the event, combining sports tourism, personal challenge, and spectacle.
